The beginning

Founding of H. Klümper Schinken-Räucherei (ham smoke house) on a Westphalian farm.

1894 - 1915

The appetite for our ham is growing

Registration of the manufactory in the commercial register.

Bernhard Klümper takes his younger brother Heinrich into the company.

1929

Klümper receives entry in the trademark register for “Westfäler”

Klümper receives first place of German Agricultural Society for its Westphalian bone ham.

1965

The next generation takes responsibility

Heinrich Klümper jun. is joining the company.

1982

Industrial area

The company is resettling from city centre into the newly created industrial area

1999

Enhancement of production facility

Klümper is the first German ham producer to be certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 (quality management).

Receipt of the US export license.

Moving into the future together

Eckhard Klümper joins as CEO.

Black Forest Ham

Together with master butcher Frank Spinner, Klümper owns shares of “Schwarzwaldhaus GmbH”, which is a company producing high quality black forest ham as well as sausages in Oberhamersbach. Frank Spinner is operating the business.

2015

New location for highest quality demands

New building and resettling of the production facilities of “Schwarzwaldhaus GmbH” towards Gengenbach.

2015

“Edler Westfale” (noble Westphalian)

A new concept as well as new branding for Westphalian bone ham arose. Radio advertising with more than 163mio radio contacts in North Rhine Westphalia took place.

2024

Sinah Klümper becomes Co-CEO
